About This Blog

Come peer through the lens of Sacred Writings and Scripture to know ourselves and be made whole. There is always medicine to apply in our lives: emotional, relational, social and spiritual. My prayer is that the words of the early church and scripture will inform our identity and bring us healing that equips us to know and serve God with all our hearts.

QUESTIONING

Ever wonder why or why so long... why God waits or doesn't give us what we think we want in the moment we ask, or the season we seek? The girls pined for their train ride to be over and sometimes I wonder if I am not the same. No little pink jacket, but a heart  that still cries, "Why so long?"

Can you relate to the girls traveling and the Father comforting?

Pink puffy jackets
zipped up to
tiny pom- pommed scarves.
They journey on
these two
and there is peace.
"Un so lange?"
hands gesture in
sad frustration
as they travel, asking,
"Why so long?"
They wring their chubby fingers together.
Peering anxiously ahead
they hold on tight.
Sun splashes their faces
and  a Father gently
answers their
heart's cry.

Medicine from Sacred Scripture:

"Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord; O Lord hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy." Psalm 130:1
